Develop men's wellness oral strips with project-specific formulation, dose feasibility, sensory targets, packaging, and pilot-run planning.
What this category is for
A men's brand usually arrives with a five-botanical capsule stack: ashwagandha, tongkat ali, fenugreek, maca, zinc, each at hundreds of milligrams. A film cannot carry all of them at useful amounts, so the first decision is which one leads. Retail shows the range: 365veda's KSM-66 strip lists 100 mg per strip in a berry 30-count, EZStrip Calm lists 33 mg, and one brand claims 300 mg. Our development target for KSM-66 is up to 250 mg per strip, which is close to the 300 mg used in the registered KSM-66 trials, so a one-strip serving near a studied amount is possible if ashwagandha is the hero and almost nothing else rides along. Wellbeing Nutrition's Testo Power melts take the other route, anchoring on Testofen fenugreek with shilajit, ginkgo and saffron at one strip a day.
Zinc is the easy win: our 10 mg target is 91 percent of the 11 mg adult male RDA, well under the 40 mg upper limit, and it fits with masking for the metallic note. Tongkat ali at 200 mg and fenugreek at 75 to 125 mg each fill most of a strip alone. Every one of these botanicals is bitter, so cool mint, citrus and chocolate-mocha carry the taste work. Testosterone language is the category's regulatory hazard; it sits near drug-claim territory and depends on the specific ingredient's evidence, and the claim position should be settled before feasibility because it changes which actives are worth carrying. The discreet format, no bottle and no shaker, is part of the sell.
Actives brands ask about
| Active | Common on labels | In a film | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ashwagandha root extract (e.g., KSM-66) | 100 mg per strip on 365veda (berry, 30 strips); 33 mg on EZStrip Calm; registered KSM-66 trials use 300 mg capsules | Fits in one strip up to our 250 mg target when it is the only large active. Bitter; needs masking. | source |
| Fenugreek seed extract (e.g., Testofen) | The anchor of Wellbeing Nutrition Testo Power melts (with shilajit, ginkgo and saffron; one strip a day); per-strip amount not stated | Fits at 75–125 mg per strip depending on standardization. Bitter and maple-like. | source |
| Zinc | 15–30 mg per serving on capsule men's formulas (Transparent Labs); the adult male RDA is 11 mg and the upper limit 40 mg | 10 mg per strip is our adult target, 91% of the male RDA. Metallic; needs masking. | source |
| Tongkat ali (Eurycoma longifolia) extract | 200–400 mg per serving in capsules; no strip with a stated amount was found | 200 mg per strip is our development target, which leaves little room for anything else. Very bitter. | source |
| Maca root extract | 50–250 mg per serving in capsule blends with tongkat, shilajit and ashwagandha | Fits at about 50 mg. Malty and tolerable; a supporting active. | source |
| Vitamin D3, B12 and magnesium (daily nutrition) | Daily Value D3 and B12 on tablets such as Ro's testosterone support; magnesium in supporting amounts | D3 and B12 fit easily. Magnesium tops out near 25 mg elemental per strip; higher loads need a larger film or multi-strip serving. | source |

Move into a 500-box pilot.
Once the development and commercial specifications are aligned, a qualified project can move toward a 500-box pilot: roughly 10,000 strips in 20-count boxes or 15,000 strips in 30-count boxes. The pilot validates product, packaging, documentation, and market response before a larger run.
Common questions
Retail strips list 33 to 100 mg. Our target for KSM-66 is up to 250 mg per strip when it is the hero, which puts a single strip near the 300 mg used in the registered trials. A 100 mg strip with a two-strip direction is the other common route.
Language about supporting healthy levels already within the normal range appears on supplements, but it sits close to drug-claim territory and depends on the ingredient's evidence. Confirm wording with a regulatory advisor before artwork; we do not supply claim substantiation.
Because a strip carries about 250 mg of active in total and each of those botanicals wants that much on its own. Tongkat at 200 mg or ashwagandha at 250 mg fills the film; the credible formula is one hero at a real amount plus zinc and vitamins at Daily Value levels.
Ashwagandha, fenugreek and tongkat are all bitter. Development rounds usually test cool mint, citrus and chocolate-mocha with sweetener systems until the written sensory criteria are met.
